For such a long time now, people have banked on mind power to get them to where they want to go. Whilst it may seem like a complicated process, using the mind to help you reach your goals is actually very doable, and all it takes is focus, hard work, and discipline.</p>
<p>You have probably come across many websites online asking you to buy their products so that you can develop a powerful mind, but in truth, you do not need to spend money for this life-changing endeavor. You simply need to know certain principles that will guide you all the way in your quest to use the mind for your ultimate success.</p>
<p>Understand that the mind is composed of two parts: conscious and the subconscious. The former is used for logic and reasoning; it is that part of the brain where every function is voluntary and you are aware of what you are thinking or doing. On the other hand, the latter, which is the subconscious mind, is where every involuntary action is created. It is basically a storage room for memories, beliefs, concepts, and emotions that you have unknowingly stored in your brain.</p>
<p>Significance of the Subconscious Mind</p>
<p>The conscious mind is essentially just the tip of the iceberg. The power lies in the subconscious as it has the capacity to direct your life into whatever course you would like to take. Believe it or not, your present situation is a result of what you have placed into your subconscious. For example, if you are currently not doing well in your life, not earning a good income, and being unable to find a suitable partner, ask yourself these questions:</p>
<p>1. Do I believe I’m worthy of success?</p>
<p>2. Do I believe that I can find an amazing job or business opportunity that will earn me lots of money?</p>
<p>3. Do I believe that I deserve to find someone who will love me for what I am?</p>
<p>Most probably, you would answer No to these questions, and because in your heart you really do not believe you are worth it, then this is what’s being programmed in your subconscious mind. So you see, everything that you introduce into your subconscious will dictate how your life will turn out to be.</p>
<p>Programming Your Subconscious Mind for Success</p>
<p>In the first paragraph, it was mentioned that you would need focus, hard work, and discipline to be able to use the mind for your own benefits. This is because consistency is of prime importance, and without such, it simply would not work. </p>
<p>1.The very first thing you have to remember- and do all the time- is to be cautious of the thoughts that come into your conscious mind. Pay close attention to negative thoughts and be sure to take them out. Whilst it is quite impossible to monitor every thought, it is necessary to be vigilant. </p>
<p>2.Secondly, set goals. Write them down and visualize them clearly. Then, remind yourself everyday of the goals you have made. This will create a mental picture in your mind that will be stored in your subconscious.</p>
<p>3.Thirdly, surround yourself with positive and successful people. Their influence will further strengthen your capacity and drive to fulfill your dreams. </p>
<p>When you do all these- consistently- nothing can stop you from attaining success, no matter how ridiculously impossible it may seem to you today.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Body language is a key aspect in communication. Knowing how to read your own body language, as well as that of others is an invaluable skill that will help increase your income-earning opportunities. </p>
<p>How can body language make this possible? For one thing, using positive and confident body language will help you gain a favorable first impression from customers. Additionally, being able to read non-verbal cues from the person you are talking to can help you get a better understanding of their feelings and avoid possible misinterpretations and misunderstandings. By having the appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, a person can have more effective interactions with others, which will always be advantageous to him.</p>
<p>Common Body Language</p>
<p>There are common patterns that are evident in our body language, <span id="more-183"></span>which will be discussed here. But before anything else, here are some general gestures and their corresponding meanings. When a person is leaning forward, it means he is interested in what you have to say. </p>
<p>If he crosses his arms in the chest, it means he does not agree with you, does not want to listen to you, or is threatened by you. When he fidgets or talks too fast, it means he is nervous, afraid, or keeping something from you.</p>
<p>Face- The eyes can very visibly show a person’s emotions. If the eyes are twinkling, it means the person is amused and excited; if the eyes are wide open and dilated, it indicates nervousness and fear. The eyebrow movements also have meaning; if they are raised, it means that the person doubts what you said; if it’s lowered, it means the person is frustrated, upset, or angry. Blinking also conveys a message; frequent blinking of the eye indicates nervousness.</p>
<p>Arms- As mentioned above, when the arms are folded in front of a person’s chest, this indicates negativity. There are other arm signals as well, such as placing the arms on the sides, which means that the person is open and will listen to you. On the more emotional aspect, one arm gesture, self-hug, means that the person is insecure and needs to be comforted. </p>
<p>Neck and Chest- When the neck seems stiff, this means the person is nervous, afraid, or not in agreement with you. When a person’s chest is drawn out similar to how “big people” do it, then it shows confidence. However, withdrawn chest would mean the person is shy, defeated, or sad. </p>
<p>Legs- When a person is sitting down, and his feet are placed behind the knees, it means that he is interested in you, your thoughts, and ideas. Crossed legs indicate a closed mind, whereas legs that are wide open would mean the person is overly confident and is trying to dominate the conversation. </p>
<p>Improving Your Body Language</p>
<p>The objective here is to use only body language that will give others the impression that you are a confident and positive person. Begin with a smile, a firm handshake, and keep your head up to let others know that you are at ease and sure of yourself in their presence. When listening to them, lean forward and keep your eyes focused on them to show that you care and are interested in what they have to say. If you are not entirely a self-assured person, this can be difficult at the onset, but with practice, you can learn and become natural at using body language to your own benefit. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>No, this isn’t about acting like a spoiled kid who wants to get her way all the time. Instead, this is about being able to win customers and gaining approval from the people that matter. How does a person become charismatic?</p>
<p>Charisma is something that will leave a lasting good impression on other people. It is not about being a smooth talker or being manipulative, but rather, it is using a few traits and skills that will endear you to others effortlessly.</p>
<p>Skills You Need<span id="more-182"></span></p>
<p>1.Listening- Being able to listen to others, and let them know that you are in fact interested in their thoughts and ideas will be very instrumental in winning them. When you show others that you are listening to every word, you show to them that you care. And when you care, this gives others the impression that you are someone they can trust.</p>
<p>2.Speaking- It is also important that you can effectively convey a message to the other person. This means that you must be able to verbalize your thoughts and ideas in a way that will be understood by the other person without difficulty.</p>
<p>3.Empathy- In truth, listening, speaking, and empathy are skills that go hand in hand. You must be able to see things from other people’s perspectives and deliver a message in such a way that is likeable or agreeable to them. If you cannot empathize with others, if you cannot put yourself in their shoes, you will not be able to really comprehend what it is they want. If you do not know what they want, you cannot win them.</p>

<p>Apart from skills, you also need to work on your personality so that you can be charismatic towards others. Understand that charisma is a powerful thing and must only be used for something that is positive and beneficial to both parties concerned.</p>
<p>1.Understanding- Always seek to understand so that you will be understood. When others will become more open to you, your ideas, and your opinions, it is easier to convince them. If you talk right away without bothering to ask them about what they want, for them this will just be another &#8220;sales talk&#8221; and will never bring you positive results.</p>
<p>2.Sincerity- When you show to others that you are sincere in giving them what they want, they will be more willing to cooperate and listen to you. Show sincerity in words, tone, and actions; take time to listen, and you will find that your chances of winning them will be greatly improved.</p>
<p>3.Enthusiasm- Another great attribute that will be sure to influence and convince others to get into your way of thinking is enthusiasm. This is what leaders use to motivate their group, and you too can use this as a means to win people. Enthusiasm is contagious and when you show your enthusiasm about something, it indicates how passionate you are about it. You will be able to create an aura of positivism that others simply cannot refuse.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people have great ideas that when realized, could give them great success. But the problem lies in not being able to actualize these ideas, for one reason or another. People complain that they simply do not have enough money to start a business while others say it’s simply wrong timing. But the truth is, not succeeding in anything you have wanted to do is because of you. It is not about your circumstances or the current economic crisis, it is in essence, all about you.</p>
<p>When you are not in full control of your life, many things could lead you to failure. When you cannot direct your path in times of difficulties, you could easily be swayed, discouraged, and take your eyes off your goals. To achieve the goals you have set for yourself, you need to be taking charge of the steering wheel, guiding yourself and your business in the proper direction.</p>
<p>How does a person take control of his life? <span id="more-181"></span>You might say this is easier said than done, and it is indeed. If it were easy, you would find more successful people today. But although the road ahead may be full of complications and challenges, being in control is within your capabilities. Understand that you have the power to control your life, and shape it in whatever way you want it to be. When you can see beyond the limitations and refuse to listen to others when they tell you, &#8220;No it’s just not possible&#8221; then you are on the right track in the path to success. </p>
<p>Along with this conviction, below are some of the things you must do to be more in control of your life:</p>
<p>1. Be proactive</p>
<p>Being proactive is one of the key requirements for taking control and yet so often we fail to do just that. In everything you do, be accountable for it. When you can ingrain such a principle in your mind, you will be more apt to plan ahead and devise ways to deal with challenges and problems positively and effectively.</p>
<p>2. See the bigger picture</p>
<p>People get easily frustrated when things do not turn out the way they wanted it to be. If they are not able to see the bigger picture, such frustrations might be the cause for the lack of motivation. In every goal you have set, whether for your career or for personal purposes, you must be able to see the bigger picture. You have to know what you need to do to accomplish those goals. You have to be prepared to meet the challenges and know how to overcome them. When you can see the bigger picture, it is easier to be on top of things.</p>
<p>3. Get rid of the clutter</p>
<p>One of the things that can successfully help you lose control of your life is clutter. A messy desk, unorganized daily activities, and heaps of household chores are great letdowns. Get rid of the clutter and you will be more likely to work enthusiastically and get more things done. Keeping your work area organized and planning ahead can help prevent clutter in your life.</p>
<p>4. De-stress</p>
<p>Have you ever felt all stressed out that you find it difficult to function already? When your emotional and mental well-being are not at its optimum levels, it is really difficult to be productive. So, instead of forcing yourself, take time out from your work. Go some place where you can de-stress and forget about your problems. When you are rejuvenated, you will get more things done, and you will be able to do your tasks willingly and gladly.</p>
<p>5. Accept that there are things you cannot control</p>
<p>People get too many unnecessary stresses because they worry about things they have no control over. They have to accept the fact that there are things that they have no capacity to change and should keep it at that. Much of our energy is spent worrying about such things. Stop yourself every time this happens and you will find more balance and fulfillment in your life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A meeting is crucial to any business relationship; if you facilitate it well, it could lead to very positive outcomes that will increase your bottom line. Conversely, a poorly facilitated meeting will only be a waste of time and could possibly put an end to a potentially good business relationship. A meeting is a form of discussion wherein a specific agenda is brought up for everyone to talk about and make decisions on. Usually, a meeting takes place between members of a company, but it could also be between a representative of a company (such as the business owner or an executive) and a prospective client or customer.</p>
<p>Usually, in a large meeting, there is a facilitator who is responsible in ensuring smooth flow of discussions and preventing conflicts and arguments from arising. Now, if you are a business owner who has just put up a business, you probably are your company’s sole representative, which means that you will handle the job of a facilitator. Here is a list of proper etiquette you should be aware of when conducting meetings.<span id="more-179"></span></p>
<p>1. First of all, never be late for a meeting. Doing so would speak very negatively of you. If the meeting is set at three o’clock, be there at least 5 minutes earlier. This way you can have sufficient time to prepare for the agenda.</p>
<p>2. Dress appropriately. Even if you will only be meeting in a coffee shop somewhere it does not mean it is proper to wear a shirt and a pair of jeans. Taking the time to dress smartly will definitely make a good first impression and will speak a lot about your level of professionalism.</p>
<p>3. Always be courteous throughout the meeting, and this is especially true if you are the one trying to win a client or making a sale. Being rude and argumentative will not get you anywhere. Avoid interrupting the other person when he is talking, and be attentive. When you are distracted and keep looking elsewhere instead of the person you are having a meeting with, this will give the impression that you do not care at all about what he has to say.</p>
<p>4. Make a list of what needs to be discussed. This will make the meeting easier and smoother, because you will have a guide that will prevent you from getting sidetracked. The problem with not having a list is that you could easily get off topic and before you know it, you have already wasted an entire hour talking about pointless matters and not even able to get any of your objectives accomplished.</p>
<p>5. At the end of the meeting, make sure to summarize everything that has been said, including any agreements that were made to ensure that both parties are clear on every detail that was tackled during the meeting. Regardless of the outcome- whether positive or negative, stay composed and friendly. And with a firm handshake, thank the other person for his time.</p>
<p>Never Burn Bridges</p>
<p>Some people get easily disappointed when a meeting does not turn out well, which can be evident in their words and facial expressions. Do not feel bad about not being able to get a positive outcome because it is not all the time that you will be able to win new clients or customers, anyway. Do not burn bridges but instead make it a point to maintain cordial relationships because you might just have another business encounter with them in the future.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>People skills are a set of interpersonal attributes that make a person more effective in dealing with others. It is considered an invaluable asset for any home business owner or entrepreneur because they need to constantly deal with customers, clients, and even their own employees. Without people skills, it will be very difficult to influence, persuade, and negotiate with them.</p>
<p>Four Personality Types</p>
<p>There are different types of people, based on their personalities, which are: <span id="more-177"></span></p>
<p>1. Analytical- This type of person thinks everything through, even the tiniest details. They want information and they want facts; they need quantitative data every time a situation occurs. This type of people is less likely to have people skills than other types because they like to work alone. But when they realize the value of people skills and determine how they can best develop it, they could turn themselves into more of a people person.</p>
<p>2. Driver- This type of person is someone who wants to get things done, and wants it done his way. An outgoing person who likes dealing with people, a driver is bent towards seeing results, and if none is given, they require solid explanations. Because drivers are confident individuals, they may likely possess people skills as long as they do not become aggressive.</p>
<p>3. Amiable- This type of person is someone who is likeable. He avoids confrontations and disagreements, and often likes to please. An amiable person can be insecure so he needs constant affirmation and assurance from people that matter. Amiable people may possess people skills to some degree however their insecurities could limit their abilities.</p>
<p>4. Expressive- This type of person is someone who can easily show emotion either in words and expressions. They willingly help others in times of need but they despise rejection and are often afraid of it. These people can develop people skills as long as they are given proper guidance and are able to control their emotions.</p>
<p>Traits of a &#8220;People Person&#8221;</p>
<p>A person who has people skills is:</p>
<p>1. Self-Confident</p>
<p>When you lack confidence in yourself, it is very difficult for you to go out of your way to talk to other people, especially those you are not close to.</p>
<p>2. Expressive in terms of being able to convey thoughts and ideas</p>
<p>A person with people skills is at ease talking to people. They are not afraid to speak their mind as long as they do not offend others.</p>
<p>3. Good at resolving conflicts</p>
<p>When conflicts arise, it can really test how well you can manage the situation. A person with people skills can diffuse the conflict, and find the appropriate solution. They do not panic but instead, they calmly handle the situation by seeking to get other people’s views and coming up with solutions that are fair to all.</p>
<p>4. Not afraid to speak up</p>
<p>When someone has crossed the line, a person with people skills will not hesitate to speak up but are careful to do so in a professional and polite way.</p>
<p>5. Believes in teamwork</p>
<p>He values teamwork and knows how significant it is to his business. While others love to work solo, this person collaborates with others because he knows that when the strengths of several key people are utilized for the good of the business, success will become more realistic.</p>
<p>6. Empathizes with others</p>
<p>This person shows he truly cares for other people’s concerns. He does not merely pretend to listen to their stories to make a positive impression but rather, he does it because he wants to understand. He is sincere in his efforts and he goes the extra mile, not only for his customers but also for everyone else who contributes to the overall success of his business.</p>

<p>When you have a network, you are able to enjoy long-term stability, building alliances and getting referrals from these key people. In a way, your network will help you just as you are helping them.  </p>
<p>How do you expand your network?</p>
<p>Understand that for budding entrepreneurs, this is not an easy feat. People often become skeptical of those who are new and unheard of, and will always have the tendency to patronize the more established companies. You need to use your networking skills to gain acceptance, and eventually, a following but you need to double your efforts in doing so.</p>
<p>The Biggest Networking Obstacle <span id="more-175"></span></p>
<p>Perhaps the single biggest cause for not being unable to use networking is fear. Fear of approaching people, fear of taking risks, fear of committing mistakes, fear of not being accepted- your fear will prevent you from even trying. And when you cannot make that move, networking becomes an impossible thing to do. The solution to this is to overcome your fear and muster the courage to talk to people! Fear can be destructive, and if you want to make any significant progress at networking, you need to get rid of it.</p>
<p>Keys to Developing Your Networking Skills</p>
<p>1. Know when and where to network. Successful &#8220;networkers&#8221; choose the right time and place to use their skills and make new connections. They attend special functions because they know that this is where people gather to introduce themselves and promote their business.  However, you should be careful of correct timing; you do not want to give any negative impression on those who have met you for the first time.</p>
<p>2. Know who your target prospects are. You do not simply shake the hand of every person you meet and give them your calling card. You have to know who you think can be classified as potential prospects by taking the time to talk to them. Get to know them a little, and from there you can get an idea if this person can be a good prospect or not.</p>
<p>3. Use social networking sites. Many people do not realize it but websites like Twitter and Facebook can actually increase their business network. However, when you use these sites, as with any other effective networking strategy, it is necessary to be subtle. Build trust and give people reasons to want to join your network. Trying to sell or being explicit about your intentions may push them away if you are not too careful.</p>
<p>4. Come prepared. You have to have ready answers for possible questions that prospects might fire at you. Make sure your answers can convince them enough to make them want to become part of your network. If you fumble and take time to come up with answers, this will not be to your advantage. Moreover, part of being prepared is to be ready with calling cards wherever you may go because you will never know who you will bump into.</p>
