How to Use Your Charisma to Get What You Want

No, this isn’t about acting like a spoiled kid who wants to get her way all the time. Instead, this is about being able to win customers and gaining approval from the people that matter. How does a person become charismatic?

Charisma is something that will leave a lasting good impression on other people. It is not about being a smooth talker or being manipulative, but rather, it is using a few traits and skills that will endear you to others effortlessly.

Skills You Need

1.Listening- Being able to listen to others, and let them know that you are in fact interested in their thoughts and ideas will be very instrumental in winning them. When you show others that you are listening to every word, you show to them that you care. And when you care, this gives others the impression that you are someone they can trust.

2.Speaking- It is also important that you can effectively convey a message to the other person. This means that you must be able to verbalize your thoughts and ideas in a way that will be understood by the other person without difficulty.

3.Empathy- In truth, listening, speaking, and empathy are skills that go hand in hand. You must be able to see things from other people’s perspectives and deliver a message in such a way that is likeable or agreeable to them. If you cannot empathize with others, if you cannot put yourself in their shoes, you will not be able to really comprehend what it is they want. If you do not know what they want, you cannot win them.

Personal Attributes

Apart from skills, you also need to work on your personality so that you can be charismatic towards others. Understand that charisma is a powerful thing and must only be used for something that is positive and beneficial to both parties concerned.

1.Understanding- Always seek to understand so that you will be understood. When others will become more open to you, your ideas, and your opinions, it is easier to convince them. If you talk right away without bothering to ask them about what they want, for them this will just be another “sales talk” and will never bring you positive results.

2.Sincerity- When you show to others that you are sincere in giving them what they want, they will be more willing to cooperate and listen to you. Show sincerity in words, tone, and actions; take time to listen, and you will find that your chances of winning them will be greatly improved.

3.Enthusiasm- Another great attribute that will be sure to influence and convince others to get into your way of thinking is enthusiasm. This is what leaders use to motivate their group, and you too can use this as a means to win people. Enthusiasm is contagious and when you show your enthusiasm about something, it indicates how passionate you are about it. You will be able to create an aura of positivism that others simply cannot refuse.
